Scott Lux - 1953-2011

Scott Lux
December 31, 1953 - August 14, 2011

Volunteers of America of Kentucky recently lost a beloved member of our staff: Scott Lux, manager of Third Step — a program in our Clinical Services division — where he enthusiastically and compassionately provided the highest levels of service to our clients. He was also known as the resident historian for the Shelby Street Substance Abuse Treatment Campus, which was previously the city’s hospital serving African-American patients. Scott dedicated much of his free time to researching this rich history and sharing his findings with our staff, the community, and Louisville’s medical professionals. He was also a Positive Change Society member and ambassador, introducing his friends and colleagues to the organization that he so passionately loved. And we loved him in return.
